Ms. Stein is a Program Director with the Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21), the leading national organization that advocates for 21st century readiness for every student. Ms. Stein has been involved with P21 from its very founding in 2002. For many years Barbara Stein led initiatives in the area of educational innovations, education technology, and 21st century skills at the National Education Association. In that role, she also led the organization’s partnerships within both the corporate and non-profit worlds to collaborate on behalf of educational change.  She served on the boards a variety of organizations, including COSN, NCTET, and the Alliance for Public Technology. Barbara continues to serve as the Secretary of the Board of the Virtual High School Consortium.  At its 2008 Inaugural Ball, NCTET honored Barbara with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
