Description: Thanks to the Internet, students today can acquire and share knowledge in ways teachers could not have dreamed of 50 years ago. Using the metaphor of teaching about Africa to middle school students, the author shares concrete examples of how digital resources can move from memorizing countries and capitals on a map to asking deep questions and engaging in authentic global learning.
